In this blog post, we'll discuss tips for planning your senior or college grad session with Logan Jay Photography and the amazing memories we can create.

Why should I plan a senior or graduate session? As seniors and college graduates prepare for graduation, this milestone occasion is the perfect opportunity to create lasting memories of your journey. Your final year is filled with excitement for your future and fond memories of your not-too-distant past so there are so many memories just waiting to be made! So, as you anticipate closing one chapter and preparing for the next, this is a wonderful time to create memories you'll cherish for years to come. To plan for your session with me, I'll share a few tips to make your planning a little less stressful.

  1. Location Matters: I work closely with my seniors and graduates to choose locations that resonate with your personality or interests, whether it's a favorite park, a downtown area, or a meaningful spot on your school campus, we have a number of options to bring your vision to life.

  2. Wardrobe Selection and Styling: Choosing the right outfits for your shoot is one of the most important elements to designing a session you'll love! Your clothing choices contribute greatly to the overall aesthetic of the photos and definitely reflect YOUR personality. From formal to casual and all things in between, we can figure out the look that allows your best self to shine!

  3. Posing Tips and Natural Expressions: I am a huge proponent of capturing natural and authentic expressions. I'll be your biggest fan at your session, PROMISE!! During the session I'll offer posing techniques that highlight your personality and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I'll also show you back of the camera looks during your session so you can see how AMAZING your final gallery will be.

  4. Incorporating Props and Hobbies: I absolutely encourage you to incorporate props or elements that showcase your major, hobbies and interests. This adds a personal touch to the photos and makes them even more meaningful. Afterall, the purpose of this session is to tell YOUR story!

As you prepare to take that final walk through your halls or across campus don't forget to plan for your final senior/graduate memories. With my help coupled with thoughtful location choices, wardrobe selection, and the incorporation of personal elements we can tell your amazing story.
